Why the economics differ

A custom build at a configuration budget

The usual reason an agency licenses a product it does not quite want is that a bespoke build was quoted at three times the price. That quote reflects how custom software has historically been staffed: a project manager, an account layer, and a team of engineers billing hours against a specification written by someone who will not implement it.

Bellcourt Systems is structured differently. The person who scopes the work architects and builds it, with specialist capacity engaged against the phases that genuinely require it. AI-assisted development compresses the hours a build takes without compressing the review that makes it correct.

A position we hold

Accessibility is architecture, not remediation

Accessibility audits are usually commissioned as events. A vendor remediates, a report is filed, and the findings quietly return over the following two years as templates and plugins change.

They return because remediation is applied on top of a system that was not built for it. When accessible behaviour lives in the component layer instead, a content editor cannot remove a skip link by accident, and a new page inherits correct heading structure because there is no other way to author one.

This site is built the same way. Single h1 per page, semantic landmarks, a working skip link, visible focus indicators, contrast tested at WCAG AA, and full keyboard operability. Every claim above is testable on the page you are reading.

Encrypted messaging integrated with device contacts, running its language model either on the device itself or in the cloud. That choice is the data-sovereignty control: with on-device inference the content never leaves the handset, which is the direct answer to a requirement that resident data stay inside a defined boundary.
